GTA6 is getting its own DualSense controllers: price, dates, and whether to buy

Sony confirmed it: GTA6 is getting its own DualSense controllers. Two colors, $85 each, pre-orders open September 10, and they drop November 19 with the game.
What Sony announced
At State of Play on September 3, Sony showed two limited-edition GTA6 DualSense controllers:
- Black and white versions
- $85 / €85 / £75
- Pre-orders start September 10
- Release November 19
Under the GTA6 shell they're standard DualSense controllers, so you still get adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
Why the DualSense matters for GTA6
If you're playing GTA6 on PS5, the controller is already a reason to pick that console. The adaptive triggers add real resistance to the throttle and trigger in driving and shooting, and the haptics make chases feel physical. A GTA6-themed version is cosmetic, but if you're buying a controller anyway, the design is free.
Should you buy one?
- Buying a DualSense anyway — get the themed version. Same $85, no downside.
- Already have a working controller — it's a looks upgrade. Skip it unless you collect.
- On Xbox — this is PS5-only. Series X|S uses standard controllers.
